MANILA — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) will need 49 new employees for deployment to different airports nationwide.
With this, BI spokesperson Antonette Mangrobang noted a hiring process to be followed in filling up the vacancies.
“There is a hiring process. We know that it takes a while, but this is a long term solution for our manpower crisis,” she said in an interview over Church-run Radio Veritas.
The agency recently announced the job vacancies on its website, www.immigration.gov.ph.
Among the positions being offered include chief immigration officer, supervising immigration officer, senior immigration officer, immigration officers and assistants.
A chief immigration officer has salary grade 24 with a monthly salary of around Php 56,000 while an entry level immigration officer is ranked salary grade 11 with a monthly salary of around Php 19,000.
