LAOAG CITY — From July to December this year, at least 100 registered nurses will be absorbed in Ilocos Norte’s public hospitals and rural health units, courtesy of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte-Task Force Trabaho (TFT).
Ann Marie Lizette Bitancor, head of Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO), said Thursday they are now accepting applications for this year’s second batch of the “Sagip Nars” program.
Following the employment of teachers through the provincial government’s “Saguip Maestra” program, the “Saguip Nars’ program took over, employing about 9,000 registered nurses since 2014.
Meant as a bridge program for new nurses to enhance their professional skills as they search for permanent jobs, the program has helped beneficiaries in the two-year minimum required experience of nurses before landing permanent jobs in hospitals.
At present, Bitancor said the application process has already started and they will continue to accept applicants until May 20.
Interested applicants are required to pass their resume at PESO located at Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena after which a qualifying examination and interview will follow, added Bitancor. PNA/northboundasia.com
