LAOAG CITY — Some unserviceable properties of the provincial government of Ilocos Norte are set to be auctioned off upon approval of the Commission on Audit (COA).
Some of these properties include a tobacco flu curing barn worth PHP11.1 million, established at the National Tobacco Administration, and the Php 10-million worth multi-fast rice mill and feed mill, including a lot where these government properties are situated in Dingras, Ilocos Norte.
These government properties were acquired during the term of then Governor Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and are no longer in use.
As a standard procedure, the committee on disposition shall indicate and assess the value of these properties subject to validation and approval of authorities from COA.
Following a series of deliberation at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the board has approved a resolution on Monday, authorizing Governor Ma. Josefa Imelda Marcos to negotiate and transact in behalf of Ilocos Norte for the sale of these properties. PNA-northboundasia.com
