ILLEGAL DRUGS SUPPLIER ARRESTED IN BENGUET TOWN

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cordillera Regional Office scored anew on its anti-drugs campaign with the arrest a member of a local drug group operating in Baguio and Benguet in a buy-bust operation at Antamok Tram, Ucab, Itogon, Benguet recently.

Joseph Calulut, PDEA–CAR Information Officer on Tuesday identified the suspect as Jimmy Arnold Rihoo a.k.a. Iranian, 37, and a resident of Ucab, Itogon, Benguet.

The PDEA agents pounced on “Iranian” after the exchange of “goods” and money took place, Calulut added.

Aside from the “goods”, four heat-sealed sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, confiscated from Rihoo were the marked money used in the transaction amounting to PHP4,000.

Iranian is temporarily detained at the regional detention cell of PDEA pending the filing of the appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspect belongs to a group considered to be the major supplier of prohibited drugs in Itogon, Benguet, Calulut said. PNA / northboundasia.com
