DAGUPAN CITY — Thousands of people who spent the holiday season in Pangasinan are still packing various bus stations in the city to board buses that will take them to back to their point of origin.

With this, they are queuing at the bus stations of Victory Liner, Five Star and Solid North and at the Dagupan City Holding Area which serves as a terminal of vans for hire travelling to Baguio City.

Unfortunately, few available buses has hampered the journey of many passengers back home, making them wait for long hours at the terminals.

Among those in a hurry to go back home are workers and students who came home to have a reunion with their respective families in the province during the Yuletide Season.

An official of the Victory Liner said the passengers are mostly bound for Metro Manila as he noted that long queues started on the early hours on the morning of January 1.

All must be rushing to get back to their work or to resume their classes, he said.

Some of the passengers are also heading for Isabela as well as Zambales.

Bus stations and other places of convergence in Pangasinan are still under tight watch by the Dagupan Police to thwart any unscrupulous attempts from criminals and terrorists.

Company guards screen the belongings of passenger boarding every bus for deadly weapons, guns and explosives.

Victory Liner already said it has fielded more buses than any day during the holiday season so all passengers can be accommodated. PNA/northboundasia.com
