Grandpa Nabbed For Firearms And Ammo

AGOO, La Union – A 72-years-old man was arrested in his house in Barangay San Juan here for possession of various firearms and ammunition in a search warrant operation by the authorities last Thursday.

Chief Inspector Silverio Ordinado, Jr., La Union’s police information officer, identified the suspect as Victor F. Gallardo, a resident of the said village.

Seized from Gallardo were seven assorted firearms–a converted cal.22 pistol, 4 cal.357 revolvers; 2 cal. 38 revolvers– and a cartridge box containing assorted live ammo.

It was not known whether Gallardo has a family or lives alone in his house.;

The search warrant was issued by Judge Romeo Atillo, Jr., Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 31 in Agoo.

Gallardo. along with the confiscated items, was taken into custody at the Agoo police station. The suspect will face court charges for violation of R.A. 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions. Northbound Philippines
