MANILA, Philippines — The Chairperson of the 2015 Committee on the Bar Examinations Supreme Court Associate Justice Teresita J. Leonardo-De Castro on Tuesday announced that a total of 1,731 out of the 6,605 examinees passed the 2015 Bar Examinations.
This figure translates to 26.21 percent of the total examinees who completed the 2015 Bar Examinations.
In a press briefing, De Castro also announced that the oathtaking of the successful Bar candidates will be on June 16, 2:00 p.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
Likewise, Bar Confidant Atty. Christina Layusa announced that bar passers may secure their clearances from the Office of the Bar Confidant during office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning on May 16 until June 15.
A graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law, Rachel Angeli B. Miranda topped the 2015 Bar Examinations with the highest over-all rating of 87.40 percent.
This year’s top 10 examinees are the following:
1st Place, Rachel Angeli B. Miranda, of UP, with 87.4 percent;
2nd Place, Athena C. Plaza, of University of San Carlos, with 87.25 percent;
3rd Place, Jayson C. Aguilar, of UP, with 86.75 percent;
4th Place, Reginald M. Arceo, of Ateneo de Manila University, with 86.7 percent;
5th Place, Mandy Therese Anderson, of Ateneo de Manila University, with 86.15 percent;
6th Place, Giselle P. Hernandez, of UP, with 86.1 percent;
7th Place, Darniel R. Bustamante, of San Beda College-Manila, with 85.9 percent;
8th Place, Jecca B. Jacildo, Soraya S. Laut and Jericho R. Tiu, of University of San Carlos, Xavier University and Ateneo de Manila University, respectively, with 85.85 percent;
9th Place, Jedd Brian R. Hernandez, of UP, with 85.8 percent; and
