FRENCH PRESIDENT HOLLANDE TO OPEN UN CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE IN PARIS

PARIS — French President Francois Hollande will open the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP21) on Monday.

The opening will be held at Le Bourget Airport. Its participants include Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as the leaders of another 150 countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, the delegations will observe a moment of silence to commemorate 130 victims of the Paris terrorist acts committed on November 13 by terrorists of the Islamic State radical group, which is banned in Russia.

The global forum will run from November 30 to December 11. A new international agreement is expected to be signed following it. PNA/Itar-TASS
