TUMAUINI, Isabela, Oct. 19 (PNA) — A 29-year-old farmer was declared missing after he was drowned while trying to cross the swollen Pinacanauan river in Barangay Dy-Abra on Sunday, the Isabela provincial police office said on Monday.
Jonathan Cadangyao, 29, tried to cross the river as he, his brother and his father searched for their large cattle which were believed drowned due to floods.
However, Jonathan was drowned by the strong current while crossing it. His father Yulo and younger brother Eugene swam safely.
