MANILA — The Department of Energy declared a price freeze for liquified petroleum gas and kerosene products in Surigao City, which would last for 15 days, following the magnitude 6.7 earthquake that hit the city and nearby areas.
The move comes after the city declared a state of calamity on Saturday through SP resolution No. 23.
The department stressed those that will not comply will suffer criminal and administrative charges.
It also urged the public to report “untoward price increases” in the area. Juzel Danganan/PNA-northboundasia.com
