On destabilization plot, Ilocano supporters lit candle, pray for President Duterte

LAOAG CITY — Avid supporters of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in this northern part of Luzon whom he gained the most number of votes gathered in front of the Ilocos Norte Capitol building on Saturday evening to express their support to his presidency.

As they lit up candles and pray for the nation, hundreds of supporters expressed their trust and confidence to the current administration and that President Duterte should continue to lead the country and implement change for a better Philippines.

Aware of destabilization plot against the Duterte administration, Governor Imee Marcos on Saturday afternoon called on supporters to express support to the Duterte administration and say no to destabilization by showing up in front of the Capitol in unity with other supporters at the Quirino Grand Stand in Manila who are also rallying behind the president.

In a manifesto of support, Jun Arvin Gudoy, head of the CMO read to the group of participants an open statement declaring the whole province of Ilocos Norte led by Marcos and the Sirib Ilokano Kabataan Association its solid support to President Duterte.

As a youth, we believe in President Duterte’s will to change our country for the better. It’s been 30 years that we are celebrating Edsa but nothing good is happening to everyone. But if Duterte will remain in position, we believe good things will happen to the Philippines.
