CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — The Department of Education (DepEd)–Isabela is now preparing for the conduct of restoration activities inside all schools in the province dubbed as Brigada Eskuwela 2016 for the start of classes on June 13.
Dr. Edna Pasamonte, DepEd–Isabela schools division superintendent, said the DepEd officials in Isabela were ordered to coordinate with their respective barangay officials and other sectors in the barangays to help in the restoration of all school facilities to be ready during the opening of classes.
Pasamonte said that each year, the DepEd is spearheading the cleaning inside the school campuses, painting, fixing chairs and tables and other maintenance activities to ensure that on June 13 the school facilities are ready for learning.
She said the DepEd–Isabela will be conducting a kick-off activity on May 27 at Isabela Sports Complex while the Brigada Eskuwela activities in all schools will be conducted on May 30, 2016 in the whole province.
The DepEd official said they are also included to prepare the school facilities for the implementation of K-12 program in the province with the help of the provincial government.
She said that there were already 69 classrooms that were built and allotted 419 teaching positions for the implementation of K-12 program in the province. PNA/northboundasia.com
