DAGUPAN CITY — A drug suspect who is listed seventh in the city’s watch list was arrested at around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Nueva Street, in Barangay II & III, according to the Dagupan City Police.
Arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by intelligence agents of the City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) under the direct supervision of Supt. Christopher Abrahano, chief of police and in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1, was Edberto Millora, also known as “Ebot”, 21.
Police also nabbed Millora’s live-in partner identified as Zenaida Ellan, 21. The suspects are both residents of the place.
The operation was conducted at the basketball court near their house.
Prior to the operation, policemen set up a transaction with Millora with the help of an asset who tipped off the drug operations of the suspects.
A poseur buyer was used by the police to buy shabu from the suspect at an appointed time and place. Millora was accompanied by his live-in partner Ellan in transacting with the poseur buyer.
After a short conversation, the suspects brought out one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth PHP200 and handed it to the poseur buyer.
After the exchange of the drugs and the marked money, lawmen who watched the transaction from nearby immediately arrested the two suspects.
One pink pouch containing another five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were confiscated from the suspects.
A complaint for violation of Sections 5 & 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 is now being prepared against the suspects. PNA/northboundasia.com
