CVMC OPEN ‘ALAGANG PINOY KIOKS’ TO GUIDE PATIENTS, VISITORS

TUGUGUEGRAO CITY — The Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) here installed over the weekend the “Alagang Pinoy Kioks” to guide and assist visitors and patients locate the offices or wards they want to visit.

CVMC regional director Mardito Badua said most people cannot immediately locate the rooms of the patients.

This why they trained staff to man the kiosk so that with utmost courtesy, they will guide and assist the visitors.

The hospital also installed a smoking cessation corner for smokers who will seek advice on how to withdraw from their smoking vice.

The hospital is seriously implementing the tobacco control program to reduce the number of individuals who are at health risks because of smoking, he said.

“It is alarming that 3.4 million people worldwide already died due to cigarette smoking complications,” he added.

CVMC also train hospital staff to serve as counselors and educators to their clients who want to withdraw from the habit. PNA/northboundasia.com
