COPS NET 4 PERSONS FOR GUN BAN VIOLATION IN LA UNION

ARINGAY, La Union – – Four suspects in illegal drug trade were arrested in simultaneous drug raid operations jointly conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in line with the police’s Oplan “One Time, Big Time”.

Town police chief Sr. Insp. Daniel Banan identified the suspects as Alfredo S. Rulloda, Editha R. Aviguetero, 47; Leonora R. Balanga, 39; Jaime S. Rulloda, 57; all residents of the village of Sta. Rita West here and related to each other.

The raiding team served search warrants issued by Judge Ethelwolda A. Jaravata of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 32 in Agoo, La Union.

Confiscated from the suspects were a hand grenade, a.38 revolver firearm, 16 pieces .38 mm live ammunition, 12 sachets of suspected shabu, aluminum foils, lighters and various drug paraphernalia.

The police said one of the suspects hid the suspected shabu inside an infant diaper of a two-month-old baby girl.

The suspects are now detained at the Aringay Police Station for illegal possession of firearms in relation to the election gun ban, and violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Erwin Beleo / northboundasia.com
