CEBU CITY — Police operatives Tuesday dawn arrested a family of five, including a school teacher, and seized more than Php 2 million worth of illegal drugs in a raid on their house in San Francisco town, Camotes Island off northern Cebu.
Superintendent Rodolfo Albotra Jr., chief of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) intelligence branch, identified the suspects as Diosdado Arquillano, 54; his wife Ma. Jocelyn, 52, a public school teacher; son Richard, 28; daughter Debbie, 23; and son Dodie, 18.
Police also arrested househelper Giovani Pautan and Richard’s live-in partner, a 17-year-old girl.
Albotra said the police seized during the raid 177 grams of shabu worth more than Php 2 million.
The police, who were armed with a search warrant issued by Danao City Regional Trial Court Branch 25 Presiding Judge Jerry Dicdican, also seized high-powered firearms from the residence of Arquillano.
These include two KG9 submachine guns and a caliber .45 pistol, with several magazines for ammunition.
Police also seized a Toyota Tamaraw FX.
Albotra said Diosdado Arquillano had been out on bail due to drug charges. PNA / northboundasia.com
