CAMP GEN. SIMEON A. OLA, Legazpi City — Two persons died on the spot and three others were seriously injured after a passenger bus rammed a car along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Palestina, Pili, Camarines Sur at 4:25 a.m. Saturday.
A police report said car driver Ryan Cris Cano, 34, and Raissa Isabella Cano, 25, was dead on the spot while car passengers Sabreene Cano, 25, and Johj Edward Cano, 21 — all residents of Antipolo City — had serious injuries and were rushed to the Mother Seton Hospital in Naga City.
Also in serious condition is Sonny Abanez, 45, bus driver and a resident of Barangay Taculod, Canaman, Camarines Sur.
The report also said the Toyota Vios carrying the Canos were cruising the highway on its way to Metro Manila when a Saint Rafael Transport bus from Metro Manila hit it, causing the victims’ car to crample.
It added that the Canos had just come from a vacation and spent Christmas with their relatives when the accident happened.
