TUGUEGARAO CITY — Batanes residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash flood and landslide, especially those in the low-lying areas and mountain slopes, as tropical storm “Gorio” continues to hover over the province.
Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (RDRRMC) regional director Dante Balao, on Friday issued this advisory as the Batanes Group of Islands was placed under tropical warning signal no. 1.
The RDRRMC has also alerted the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC), he said.
