BATAC CITY — The city government of Batac is looking for a new city administrator to assist newly-elected mayor Albert Chua implement its plans and programs geared towards a more business-friendly city here.
According to Chua, it is high time for the city government to have its own administrator as previous administrations have not employed one since it became a city in 2007.
To date, Chua reported he was eyeing on his brother, former Ilocos Norte government administrator Windell Chua.
Earlier, Governor Ma. Imelda Josefa Marcos, who is now on her third and final term of office said the older Chua’s contract as provincial administrator was no longer renewed by the provincial government as he was more needed by his brother in Batac City.
The new Batac mayor, backed by the Marcoses, bared that his first term would focus on encouraging big time investors to expand business activity in the city.
With a new city administrator, Chua underscored this would help the city government serve the people better.
Chua said he was hoping his brother would consider the offer, saying he was the most qualified to the position. PNA/northboundasia.com
