SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The driver of a Mitsubishi Adventure car was killed on-the-spot when his vehicle collided head-on with a passenger bus along the national highway in Barangay Pagdalagan last Monday.
Supt. Bryant Demot, San Fernando City police chief, identified the fatality as Charles Nekael A. Querubin, 25, a resident of Lower Magsaysay, Baguio City.

It was learned that Querubin was driving southbound lane and allegedly encroached at the lane of the passenger bus that was going north, causing the the smash-up.
The passenger vehicle was identified as a Fariñas bus, one of several units travelling the Laoag-Manila and vice-versa route. Bearing plate TXT 943, it was driven by Robert L. Amotoy, 36, from Nagbacalan, Paoay, Ilocos Norte,
Amotoy is now under custody of the San Fernando City police station, and charges will be filed against him for reckless imprudence, resulting to homicide and damage of property.
