ALICIA, Isabela — A 22-year-old trader was nabbed by law enforcers while allegedly in the act of selling a shabu sachet to a poseur-buyer in Barangay Magsaysay, Alicia, Isabela on Monday, anti-drug agents said.
Derrick Arnold Carreon, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cagayan Valley regional director, identified the arrested trader as Jonathan Manzano, 22, of Pengue Ruyu in Tuguegarao City.
Seized from Manzano was a 50-gram sachet of alleged shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride worth P200,000 in street value.
Manzano was temporarily detained at the PDEA office in the region while the confiscated drug was brought to the laboratory for forensic examination.
Carreon said Manzano has also been indicted for breaching Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) under Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 or RA 9165 before the City Prosecutor’s Office in Cauayan City. PNA/northboundasia.com
