ARMY HELICOPTER CRASHES IN EAST AFGHANISTAN

PUL-E-ALAM, Afghanistan — An Afghan army helicopter crashed in the eastern Logar province on Sunday, local television channel Tolo reported.

“A chopper of national crashed near the training center of National Army in Logar province on Sunday,” Tolo aired in its news bulletin.

Meantime, spokesman for Logar’s provincial government, Salim Sahil confirmed the incident when approached by Xinhua, saying the helicopter crashed in Shakar Qala area.

However, he did not comment on the casualties, saying the case would be investigated.

Meanwhile, an official on the condition of anonymity said that three people were killed and another was injured in the incident. PNA/Xinhua/northboundasia.com
