APEC DELEGATES OBSERVE SILENCE FOR VICTIMS OF ATTACKS IN PARIS

MANILA — Delegates attending a forum at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings observed a one-minute silence on Saturday for the victims of the deadly attacks in Paris.

Before the start of the function, or the APEC Business Advisory Council Women’ Luncheon, all participants stood up and observed a one-minute silence for the tragedy.

Held under the topic of “Women, Business, and the rule of Law,” the ongoing forum is part of meetings scheduled during the 2015 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.

Multiple shootings and explosions hit central Paris overnight Friday, killing at least 120 people and injuring 200 others.

French President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency across the country following the deadly attacks. PNA/Xinhua
