Antipolo City’s most wanted arrested in Laoag

LAOAG CITY— Police authorities arrested on Sunday a suspected criminal from Antipolo City, who went in hiding in Barangay Mangato A here.

A report obtained from the Laoag City police identified the suspect as Roberto Cordova Jr. also known as “Betong”, 28, single, a resident of Block 28, Lot 10, Phase 2 of Barangay Bagong Nayon, Antipolo City.

By virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Marie Claire Victoria Mabutas- Jordan of the Regional Trial Court Branch 97 in Antipolo City, Cordova was charged of murder under Criminal Case Number 18-60379 with no bail recommended.

According to police investigators, the suspect was listed as top most wanted person in Antipolo police station.

Prior to turnover to the court of origin, Cordova was first brought to the Laoag City Police station for documentation.

Joint operatives of the Laoag police station, Ilocos Norte-Provincial Highway Patrol Team, Provincial Intelligence Team in Ilocos Norte and Rizal Police Provincial Office, Crime Investigation and Detection Group and Maritime Group helped in the successful arrest of the suspect. Leilanie Adriano/
