MANILA — After resting their laurels during the Holy Week, Alab Pilipinas and Saigon Heat will make a return to the hard court as the knockout stages of the 2018 Asean Basketball League (ABL) season begin on Easter Sunday.
Both squads will slug it out in Game 1 of their best-of-three quarterfinal series scheduled for an 8 p.m.-tip-off at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan City.
After finishing third in the regular season at 14-6, Alab owns a home court advantage over the sixth-seeded Heat, which will host Game 2 in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday night.
The winner of this series will take on second-seeded Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions, which earned an outright semifinals berth last week, in the next phase of the playoffs. PNA-northboundasia.com
