BORACAY ISLAND, Aklan — Businessmen in Aklan are urged to see investment opportunities in the agriculture industry.
In a forum held Nov. 30, Guidon Dela Cruz, president of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Aklan Chapter, said the province had so much investment potential in terms of agribusiness.
The activity dubbed Agri-Business Opportunities Forum was organized by PCCI-Aklan in partnership with the Aklan provincial government.
It was attended by over 50 participants composed of farmers, businessmen and government employees.
“We want to create new investment opportunities for agriculture in order to help our farmers,” Dela Cruz said.
Meanwhile, farmer and businessman Ramon Peñalosa, owner of Peñalosa Farms in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, served as guest speaker for the event.
Peñalosa shared the best practices which the Aklan farmers and businessmen could replicate.PNA
