CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The two courts in the province on Thursday granted the motion filed by actor Mark Anthony Fernandez seeking the suspension of his arraignment.
Superintendent Sidney Villaflor, Angeles City police director, said Angeles City Municipal Trial Court and the Angeles City Regional Trial Court Branch 60 suspended the arraignment against Fernandez after the actor’s camp filed a motion to reinvestigate his cases.
The arraignment supposedly for civil disobedience for Angeles City Municipal Trial Court Branch and Angeles City Regional Trial Court Branch 60 for his alleged violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
Villaflor also said that the actor’s camp likewise requested to transfer him to Pampanga Provincial Jail as the Angeles City Police Station 6 is too crowded.
Fernandez was arrested Monday night by Angeles City Police Station 6 who were manning a checkpoint along Mc Arthur highway in Barangay Virgen delos Remedios.
The police flagged down the actor’s yellow Ford Mustang after they noticed it has no license plate number in front.
The car sped off but was intercepted by chasing police due to heavy traffic.
Police operatives saw a blue bag containing one kilo of marijuana inside the actor’s vehicle. PNA-northboundasia.com
