DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — The number of persons in Pangasinan arrested for gun ban violation has now risen to nine since the election gun ban took effect Jan. 10 this year,according to records of the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO).
This as three persons from different towns of the province were arrested due to violation of the election gun ban and Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act on weekend.
On January 16, the Tayug police station implemented a search warrant in the residence of Napoleon Robeniol, 47,in Barangay Lawak which resulted in the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of one caliber 38 and four pieces of live ammunition.
In Umingan, Wilfredo Brillo, 31, resident of Barangay Poblacion East was arrested after reportedly causing trouble in their barangay.
A fragmentation hand grenade was discovered in his possession upon body search on the suspect by the authorities.
On January 17, Ernie Camaso, 47, resident of Barangay Roxas Anda was arrested after authorities caught him playing with two pieces of live ammunition during a drinking session with companions.
Four other gun ban violators were arrested in Dagupan City, according to Superintendent Christopher Abrahano, chief of police.
One was arrested in Baista and another in Urdaneta City. PNA/northboundasia.com
