88 single mothers in Santiago City undergo free skills training

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela — At least 88 single mothers from this city have undergone skills training and received food processing kits that could help improve their lives.

The provision of free training and food processing kit is a joint project of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the City Government of Santiago.

The women have undergone a five-day skills training, particularly in meat processing and baking.

After the training, the city government of Santiago provided them with food processing kit which they can use to start home-based small business.

Susan Sola, one of the beneficiaries of skills training and food processing kit, thanked the DTI, TESDA and the city government of Santiago for providing her the needed skills and food processing kit. PNA-northboundasia.com
