7 MINORS RESCUED IN ALAMINOS CITY AFTER BEING REPORTED MISSING FOR 2 DAYS

ALAMINOS CITY — Seven minors aged 14 to 17 who were reported missing since January 23 were rescued by the police from a house in Barangay Pogo, Alaminos City at about 2:00 p.m. of January 25.

Rescued were Ailyn Kim Opolinto, 14 years old; Sabrina Cabanban, 16; Wennilyn Humilde, 14; Rubilyn Villanueva, 16, all of Barangay Tiep, Bani, Pangasinan; Jerome Soriano, 16, of Barangay Quinaoayanan, Bani; and Jhomar Ken Radoc, 17, of Barangay Poblacion, and Mark Christopher Cerdan, 17, of Barangay San Roque, both of Alaminos City.

All seven were found in the custody of Christina Reyes, 46, single parent and her son Christian Reyes, 22, both of Barangay San Roque, Alaminos City.

Initial investigation disclosed that the parents of the two missing minors, identified as Beverly Villanueva, 37, of Barangay Tiep, Bani, Pangasinan and Mary Ann Soriano y Radoc, 40, of Barangay San Roque, Alaminos City were at first reported looking for their children who they said were missing since January 23.

The two immediately sought the assistance of Public Order and Safety Office (POSDO) personnel, Civilian Volunteer Organization officer Florante Enriquez of Pogo, Alaminos City and one Oliver Ambaliza of Tiep, Bani.

Accordingly, upon arrival in the house, they were able to discover the three minors namely Rubilyn Villanueva, Jhomar Ken Radoc, and Mark Christopher Cerdan, were inside the cabinet and other four minors were inside a room.

Arrested suspects Christina Reyes and her son Christian were brought to the Alaminos City Police Station for further investigation and proper disposition.

A possible case of kidnapping and serious illegal detention are now being prepared against the suspects. PNA/northboundasia.com
