CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela — Few days before the official start of campaign for national candidates, the city election office of this premier city of Isabela has identified common poster areas for placement of election campaign materials.
These include areas in front of Isabela State University – Cauayan City campus, CAP building, Cauayan City airport, and National; Irrigation Authority (NIA) compound; old public market and all barangay halls of the city.
City election officer Efigenia Marquez said Comelec will closely monitor the posting of campaign materials in the succeeding days and have them removed if placed in prohibited areas.
She said posting of campaign materials on trees, private properties, churches and parks is already prohibited.
“There are changes in common poster areas in the 2013 national and local elections, parks and churches are now excluded,” Marquez said.
Marquez called on all candidate supporters to abide by the Comelec’s identified common poster areas to avoid violation of election laws. PNA / northboundasia.com
