TUGUEGARAO CITY — Some 4,000 delegates of this year’s National Youth Day from Nov. 11 to 15 will be accommodated by local foster families from various provincial parishes.
Archdiocesan youth director Fr. Kristian Noel, said on Monday that this is the first time the archdiocese will host the event here since it was organized in 1986.
This year’s theme is, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
“We are done with the coordination as to where and how will be participants be accommodated, we will adopt fostering scheme for them,” said Fr. Kristian.
The priest also called for other families who are capable of accommodating some participants to open their doors for this endeavor.
“We are now ready by opening of the celebration and safety measures for the participants and visitors,” he added.
There will be four different catechetical sites for the daily activities to be held simultaneously and these are the University of Cagayan Valley, (UCV), Cagayan State University (CSU) Andrews campus, Saint Paul University Philippines (SPUP) and the University of Saint Loius (USL).
The highlights of the event include welcoming celebration and offering of masses, prayer sharing sessions, fellowships, socials and among others. PNA
