CAMP OSCAR FLORENDO, La Union – Four male suspects were arrested Wednesday for the rape and murder of their victim whose body was found floating along the shoreline of Pantal Guinabang, Dagupan City on Tuesday at about 8:55 a.m.
Chief Supt. Romulo E. Sapitula, Ilocos Philippine National Police regional director, identified the suspects as Rhadu Ubando Eugenio, also known as “Adi”, 36, ; Jonathan Español De Vera, also known as“Maning”, 29, single; Alfredo Ubaldo Ubando also known “Pidong”, 28, single; and Flor Ubando Moulic, Jr. also known “Jay-ar”, 26, single– all construction workers and residents of Sitio Guibang, Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City.
Sapitula, quoting reports provided by Superintendent Jandale Sulit, Dagupan chief of police, said that that the female body was discovered by Alberto Victoria Panagsagang, and Rolando Abalos Espanyol, circumstances unknown, on the seashore.
The victim was identified as Reysha Tolosa Vidal, 21, single, a promodizer or who engages in selling activities and assisting costumers at CSI City Mall and a resident of Pantal Guibang, Dagupan City.
The reports said that Vidal was found half-naked with no lower garments.
Panagsagang, who identified the suspects, said that he saw the four men in the place of incident, where he also heard a woman weeping at about 12:30 in the morning of August 28.
Personnel of the Dagupan City Police station conducted a manhunt operation that led to the arrest of the suspects and at the custody of police station and positively identified by witnesses.
Eugenio and his companions are now detained at the police station as court charges will be filed against them for the rape and murder of Vidal.
