CTY OF ILAGAN — Four provincial roads in Isabela will soon undergo some improvements using the funds provided under the national government’s KALSADA Program, a P6.5-billion performance-based download to Provincial Local Government Units in the FY 2016 National Expenditure Plan.
DILG-Isabela director Elpidio Durwin, said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Interior and Local Government jointly wrote Isabela Governor Faustino G. Dy III informing him that the national government subsidy of P83,071,175.78 has been downloaded to the provincial government to be utilized in the improvement of roads in the province and reminding that a counterpart fund of P35,601,932.48 shall be provided by the provincial government for implementing the project.
The Provincial Government of Isabela has included in its CY 2016 Annual Investment Program the following road projects to be funded under the KALSADA Program: concreting of Villaluz-Andarayan Road in Delfin Albano; concreting of Alicia-San Isidro Road; concreting of Junction National-San Miguel-Catabban-Dalig Road in Burgos, and concreting of Villa Concepcion-Rogus-Calaoacan Road in Cauayan City.
Recently, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan under the leadership of Vice Governor Antonio T. Albano, in its Resolution No. 321 Series of 2015, approved the Provincial Road Network Development Plan (PRNDP) for CY 2016-2018 of the Provincial Government of Isabela.
