LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Four suspected drug pushers were arrested in Mangaldan and Bayambang towns in separate successful anti-drug operations by policemen on Tuesday, May 17.
Arrested at about 3:30 p.m. by elements of the Mangaldan Police Station, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1 in San Fernando City, La Union in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Salay, Mangaldan were Ariel Ventura, 35, and Noel Solis, 38, both of Brgy. Guilig, Mangaldandan.
This after Ventura sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to poseur-buyer in consideration of PHP500.
When frisked, Ventura yielded two more big heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu placed in a cigarette wrapper and inserted at the waist line of his jersey pants.
A police personnel who acted as back-up security noticed that a transaction was being consummated, immediately rushed to the place and frisked Solis which resulted to the confiscation of one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from him.
Meanwhile, two more drug pushers were also arrested at 10 a.m. of the same day in Brgy. Cadre Site, Bayambang in another buy-bust operation conducted by the police.
The suspects were identified as Jimverly De Guzman, 25, and Alexis Quintans, 30, both of Brgy. Tambac, Bayambang.
Policemen first grabbed De Guzman after handling one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu to a police personnel who acted as poseur-buyer in consideration of PHP500.
Also seized from him were two rolled aluminum foil placed on a sealed plastic sachet and one Nokia Cell phone.
Confiscated on separate search on Quintans were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance called shabu from him.
Appropriate charges are now being prepared by the police against all the suspects. PNA/northboundasia.com
