4 Dead In La Union Road Accidents

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Three men were killed when the motorcycle they were riding smashed against a van along the national highway in Agoo town Sunday.

Chief Inspector Silverio Ordinando Jr., La Union police information officer, identified the fatalities as Jayvee Romero, 16, the motorcycle driver, his passengers Dinesan Albay, 13, and Orlando Llavore, 37, all residents of Barangay Leones, Tubao.

Investigation showed that the motorcycle was traveling along the road in Barangay San Francisco when the vehicle collided head-on with an incoming van driven by Romeo Gapuz, 36, of Barangay Damortis, Sto. Tomas town.

In another road accident on the same day, a motorcycle rider was killed when his vehicle collided head-on with a van along the national highway in Barangay Almeida in Balaoan town.

PO3 Ramil Quinonez, investigator, identified the fatality as Sandy Quinivista, 52, of Barangay Cabalitocan in Luna town. The driver of the van, Roberto Mondina, 54, of Barangay Lingsat here was unhurt.

Qunivista was rushed to the Bacnotan District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead-on-arrival. The passengers of the van sustained no injuries. Jun Elias and Vic Alhambra, Jr/Northbound Philippines News
