3 macho dancers, 5 others nabbed in La Union drug raid

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Three macho dancers and five other individuals were separately arrested by anti-narcotics agents while they were having pot sessions in the villages of Catbangen this city; and in Cabugnayan, San Juan town Monday.
Superintendent John Guiagui, the city police chief, identified the suspects as Ryan Malazarte, 25, Kevin Bryan De Guzman, 31, and Dareckson Bastasa, 26, all working as dancers of a gay bar this city and residents of San Pedro, Laguna.
Seized from the suspects who were arrested inside the Sleep n’ Drive Inn in Catbangen were two sachets of shabu, two sachets of marijuana and several drug paraphernalia.
The other five suspects who were nabbed in Cabugnayan were identified as Bernardo Macayan, 28, Eric Padua, 25, Joel Abat, 26, Benjie De Leon, 30 and Orlando Rodriguez, 35, all residents of the village.
Investigation showed that the suspects were arrested after a concerned citizen reported their illegal activity to San Juan police.
Police seized from their possession a sachet of dried marijuana leaves.
Padua, Abat, De Leon, and Rodriguez, were drug surrenderers while Padua is under probation of rape case.
All suspects are now under police custody for the filing of criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs act of 2002. Jun Elias/NPN-northboundasia.com
