3 La Union college students nabbed for pot session

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Three male students from local colleges here  were arrested when they were caught in a pot session activity inside a lodging inn of this city Wednesday dawn.
 
Superintendent John Guiagui, San Fernando city police chief, identified the suspects as Franz Jan T. Buncab, 19, second year HRM student of STI, resident of Ili Norte, San Juan town;  Patrick Ian L. Sibayan, 19, nursing student of Lorma Colleges, of Barangay 1, this city;  and Paulo B. Cayago, 20, an electrical engineering student of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Mid La Union Campus, of Barangay Catbangen, this city.
 
Guiagui said that the suspects, newly -identified as drug personalities, checked-in at Pearl Drive Inn along Gov. Luna St. Barangay 4, this city. A concerned citizen notified the police of the suspicious activity..
 
Joint operatives of San Fernando City police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency immediately raided the inn.
 
Confiscated from the suspects were four sachets of the banned methamphethamine hydrochloride or shabu, three sachets of marijuana fruiting tops, two improvised pipe with burnt marijuana, an aluminum tooter, two strips of  aluminum foil with residues, and other drug paraphernalia.
 
The suspects were subjected to medical examination and placed under the protective custody at city police station pending the filing of  court charges against them for violation of RA 9165. Erwin Beleo/NPN-northboundasia.com
