BAGUIO CITY — The University of the Cordilleras (UC) maintained its rank as the best Criminology School in the country.

Two other schools in the Cordillera Region were named behind UC.

Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) records show that 65 Criminology Board examinees from UC passed from a total of 69 examinees which is equivalent to 94.20 percentage.

King’s College of the Philippines in La Trinidad, Benguet ranked No. 2 with a 91.07 percentage rating with 51 out of 56 examinees passing while Ifugao State University in Lamut, Ifugao ranked No. 4 had an 89.85 percent rating with 96 out of 108 passers.

Southern Leyte State University ranked No. 3 with a 90.00 percent rating and Unibersidad de Manila was No. 5 with an 82.52 percent rating.

The PRC reported that 9,671 out of 29,591 passed the Criminologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Criminology in Manila, Antique, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pangasinan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last October 2015.

The commission announced that the registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on January 4, 5, 6 and 7, 2016.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of PhP600 and Annual Registration Fee of PhP450 for 2016-2019.
