CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Three armed drug pushers were killed and 19 more suspects engaged in the sale and use of hard drugs were arrested during a series of anti-drug sting in the province over the weekend.
Bulacan acting police director Sr. Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., on Monday said the slain drug dealers were identified as a certain alias “Sherwin” and “Kenneth.”
Both suspects were killed after engaging operatives of the Malolos City police station under Supt. Heryl Bruno during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Bulihan.
Police recovered several plastic sachets containing shabu, handguns and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
In Bocaue town, Caramat said police anti-narcotics operatives had a brief firefight with a suspected dope pusher identified as Winston Cagampang y Bayron alias “Wilson”, 34, native of Valenzuela and resident of Barangay Tonsoya, Malabon, Metro Manila.
Cagampang died after the shootout.
Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operative (SOCO) recovered 13 heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”; two cal. 38 revolver; one improvised shotgun loaded with several ammunition; fired cartridge; 11 used sachets with suspected “shabu” residue, one black wallet with driver’s license receipt; buy-bust money and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Caramat also said that 19 other drug suspects were arrested in different police operations conducted in the cities of San Jose del Monte, Meycauayan, Malolos, and in the towns of Norzagaray, San Miguel, Hagonoy and Baliwag where 54 plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”, buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia were recovered.
The arrested suspects were identified as Danilo Sunga, Rodrigo Bido, Ruel Adriano, Jay Cee Reyes, Ricardo Quintana also known as Ricky Evite, Menandro Miranda known as Melvin Rucio, Rogelio Sopena also known as Mateo Legaspi, Paulo Feliciano also known as Rex Cristobal, Benjamin Rabuya Jr. also known as Maximo Relente, Domingo Duculayan also known as Melchor Banez, and Roberto Llorente also known as Landel Castor, all included in Meycauayan drug watchlist.
Others were identified as Jeric Roxas, Richard Faustino, Joseph Garrido, Mark Gil Cigo, Gil Cigo, Estrella Cigo, Adrian Catambis, and Miguel Mansibang.
Appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are now being filed before the City/Provincial Prosecutors Office of Bulacan. Emil Gamos/PNA-northboundasia.com
