LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, July 21 (PNA) — A total of 228 confessed drug pushers and users, some of them in the watchlists of the police and Barangay Drug Abuse Councils (BADAC) in 16 towns of Pangasinan, simultaneously surrendered to different police stations on Thursday.
The Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) reported that all of these surrendered to the police stations within their respective towns shortly after the visitation by the police.
The 228 who surrendered came from Aguilar, 9; Alaminos City, 8; Basista, 5; Manaoag, 103; Mangatarem, 24; Calasiao, 59; Bayambang, 37; Urbiztondo, 3; Anda, 2; Sison, 3; Urbiztondo, 1; Villasis, 17; Binmaley, 14; Bautista, 28; Labrador, 3, and San Jacinto, 12.
At the police stations, they were made to sign affidavits of undertaking vowing to stop their illegal activities, made to take an oath before the police to stay away from illegal drugs, underwent documentation and taken of their mugshots.
There are now close to 300 persons in Pangasinan who have voluntarily surrendered to the police for their involvement in illegal drugs. PNA/northboundasia.com
