URDANETA CITY — The Urdaneta City police scored big in its campaign against illegal drugs when it arrested two top drug personalities in the town on Wednesday in separate search warrant operations.

One of those arrested was a member of a big drug syndicate operating in the Urdaneta and neighboring towns whose house in Barangay San Vicente East here was raided by joint police elements at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Arrested at his residence was Allan Sibayan, 41, said to be a member of the Andrada Drug Group from whom lawmen seized four sachets of suspected shabu and paraphernalia.

The raiders were composed of elements of the Urdaneta City Police Station, and City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG)/Intelligence Section, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1 based in San Fernando City, La Union.

They implemented a search warrant for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 issued by a local court.

All confiscated evidences were turned-over to Urdaneta City Crime Laboratory for examination. Cases of Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia was filed against Sibayan.

During an earlier separate search warrant operation on the same day, the police also arrested Ferdinand Pine, 42, of Barangay Bayaoas from whom eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu were seized.

Also seized from Pine’s house were aluminum foil strip, two disposable lighters, one scissors and one small pouch which were all similarly turned-over to the Urdaneta City Crime Laboratory for examination. PNA/northboundasia.com
