2 Persons Killed In La Union Motorbike Accident

CAMP OSCAR FLORENDO, La Union – Two persons were killed when the motorbike they were riding went out of control and hit a narra tree along the road in the village of Galongen, Bacnotan town last Saturday.
Police identified the fatalities as Jaypee Cabauatan, 32; and Christian Lilan, 20,  both residents of Barangay Poblacion, Bacnotan.
Police investigation showed that Cabauatan and Lilan were not wearing helmets and other protective gear and that the former, who drove the motorbike, lost control of the vehicle which swerved and hit the narra tree.
Police said that due to the impact of the collision, both of the riders were thrown out of the motorbike and suffered severe fractures on their heads and bodies. Rescuers rushed them to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead-on-arrival. Erwin Beleo/Northbound Philippines News
