2 Pangasinan gov’t hospitals to get new equipment

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Two public hospitals in the province are set to acquire additional medical equipment.

This was after the provincial board approved on Monday provincial resolution no. 2049-2016 authorizing Gov. Amado Espino Jr. to enter into a memoranda of agreement (MOA) with HIMEX Corporation and United Diagnostic Supply (UDS) for the provision of hospital facilities and equipment under the public-private partnering scheme for the provincial government hospitals of Pangasinan.

HIMEX Corp. offered the Urdaneta District Hospital the service of one brand new unit Hitachi CT Scan Machine- 16 slices SUPRA model under a profit sharing scheme for five years.

On the other hand, the UDS will provide the Mapandan Community Hospital with one unit glucometer machine and one unit Mindray BS 120 chemistry analyzer, each under a two-year contract.

“The provincial government of Pangasinan has been gradually embarking on new programs and projects to enhance the delivery of public health and medical services to the people,” stated the resolution authored by provincial board’s committee on health chairman and board member Napoleon Fontelera.

“The much-needed equipment/machines could add on to better and accessible ways of serving the people of Pangasinan especially the underprivileged,” the resolution added. PNA/northboundasia.com
