2 drug personalities slain in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Two drug personalities were killed during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro, Bacolor, Pampanga Thursday.

Pampanga police acting director, Senior Supt. Nicolas Salvador only identified the fatalities as alias Cholo and alias Galvan, both of Barangay San Isidro.

Salvador said prior to the armed encounter, a member of the Bacolor Police Drug Enforcement Unit was able to buy a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) from Cholo for PHP500.

He said after the consummation of the drug deal in front of Cholo house’s, the suspect, realizing that his buyer was a police officer, drew his caliber .38 revolver but back-up policemen shot him, killing him on the spot.

The suspect’s cohort, Galvan, also fired at the lawmen, who also shot him dead, Salvador said.

Recovered from the slain suspects were two sachets of shabu, two caliber .38 revolvers, and a marked PHP500 bill.

Salvador said the fatalities are listed on the drug watch list of Bacolor town.  Ric Sapnu/PNA-northboundasia.com
