2 CHINESE VESSELS ENTER JAPANESE WATERS NEAR SENKAKUS, 1 ARMED

NAHA, Japan — Two China Coast Guard vessels, one of which was equipped with what the Japan Coast Guard said were guns, briefly entered Japanese territorial waters around the disputed Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea on Wednesday.

The intrusion occurred at around 3 p.m. and the ships left the waters about two hours later, according to the Japan Coast Guard.
