2 Africans Nabbed In La Union Drug Buy-bust Operation

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – Two Africans were arrested in an illegal drug buy-bust operation conducted by joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and policemen in Barangay Cabaroan in San Fernando City, La Union Thursday.
 
Superintendent John Guiagui, San Fernando city police chief, identified the suspects as Mohamed Ahmed, 26, temporarily residing at Barangay Cabaroan and Mahamat Abdallah, 26, a resident of Barangay Biday, both in San Fernando City.
 
Suspects are both natives of the Chad Republic, Africa and students of a private college school in San Fernando City.
 
Seized from them were three sachets of dried marijuana leaves worth P1,500 and P500 buy-bust money.
 
Investigation showed that the suspects were arrested after they allegedly sold the banned substance to an anti-narcotic agent who posed as buyers.
 
Suspects are now detained at the San Fernando City Jail for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Jun Elias/Northbound Philippines News
