CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Nov. 4 (PNA) — At least 189 selected police personnel from the different police stations in Isabela province are now preparing to help secure the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit from Nov. 16 to 20 in Manila.
Police Superintendent Julio Go, Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) police community relations chief, said the police from IPPO will serve as augmentation force or crowd dispersal unit together with other police personnel from other provinces of Region 2.
Go said the selected police personnel from Isabela are undergoing refresher on crowd dispersal management training at the IPPO.
They have served during the visit of Pope Francis last January.
He said the selected personnel are now waiting to be deployed in Metro Manila. PNA
