MANILA — A total of 10,756 job vacancies have been recorded for the week by PhilJobNet, the internet-based job and applicant matching portal of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
According to the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), at the top spot, numbering 2,086, are employment opportunities in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry or positions for call center agents.
Other posted employment opportunities are: customer service assistant with 776 vacancies; service crew with 744; staff nurse, 674; production machine operator, 602; promo salesperson, 595; real estate salesman, 570; manufacturing laborer, 515; sales clerk, 513; and sales associate professional, 505.
Other vacancies are for non-formal education teacher (449), cashier (379), technical support staff (377); door-to-door salesperson (375); janitor (310); telecommunication specialist (297); beauty consultant (260); salesman (247); sugar production machine operator (240); and mason (240).
In a statement, the DOLE said that as of March 9, a total of 1,535 accredited employers had posted job vacancies at the PhilJobNet, while a total of 14,077 are the registered jobseekers.
The BLE, which is under the DOLE, maintains the centralized database of the website.
Jobseekers who are at least 15 years old may register at PhilJobNet, while any establishment or employer duly recognized by Philippine business authorizing agencies and has a Tax Identification Number (TIN) may register as an employer.
On the other hand, those who are looking for jobs are provided an option to apply online and to view top hiring companies.
PhilJobNet service is free of charge for both job applicants and establishments.
