SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — A total of 187 administrative cases filed against policemen of Police Regional Office I (PRO1) had been resolved.
This, after Police Chief Superintendent Gregorio R. Pimentel, Regional Director of PRO1, ordered the review and fast resolution of administrative cases filed against police personnel in the region as part of the internal cleansing initiative of his command.
Based on PRO1 records, a total of 224 cases for 34 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PCO); 187 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO); and three Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) were filed before the Discipline Law and Order Section of PRO1’s Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD) for the period December 26, 2016 to January 15, 2017.
“Since last year, we implemented the review of all cases we received to find out the negligence or violations that these personnel committed.
“As a result of this action, we will be able to resolve at least 187 cases,” Chief Supt. Pimentel said.
The cases resolved included 101 for misconduct, 80 for negligence of duty, four for dishonesty and two for other offenses.
Meanwhile, a total of 91 personnel have pending cases composed of 12 PCOs, 71 PNCOs, three NUP and 7 under summary hearing proceedings. Leonardo Micua/PNA-northboundasia.com
